Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday in the green zone after gaining 0.19% or 9.53 points to reach 5,073.29 points.

The industry sector grew 1.11% as Oman Fisheries surged 8.18% and Galfar Engineering and Contracting increased 5.63%.

The financial sector levelled up 0.63% after the National Bank of Oman (NBO) went up 4.17% and Al Madina Investment Company rose 3.17%.

On the flipside, the services sector shed 0.4% as National Gas, Acwa Power Barka, and Oman Qatari Telecommunications (Ooredoo) tumbled 2.48%, 1.5%, and 1.3%, respectively.

Trading volume rose to 12.75 million shares on Monday against 10.62 million shares on Sunday, while traded value increased to OMR 2.84 million from OMR 2.18 million.
